We want your Whisper of Light creations to stay beautiful and bring joy for as long as possible. Please follow these simple care tips for our candles, preserved moss, and preserved moss art.

Candle Care

  • First Burn Matters: Burn your candle long enough for the wax to melt evenly to the edges of the jar (usually 2–3 hours) to avoid tunneling.

  • Trim the Wick: Before each burn, trim the wick to about ¼ inch for a cleaner, safer burn.

  • Burn Time: Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

  • Safety First: Always burn candles on a heat-resistant surface, away from flammable objects, drafts, children, and pets.

  • Extinguish Properly: Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame — never use water to extinguish.

  • Reuse Your Jar: Once finished, clean out the container and repurpose it as décor or storage.

Preserved Moss & Moss Art Care

  • No Water Needed: Our preserved moss is treated to maintain its color and softness — never water it.

  • Avoid Direct Sunlight: Keep away from strong sunlight to prevent fading.

  • Humidity Control: Moss prefers environments with 40–60% humidity; extremely dry conditions may cause it to stiffen.

  • Dust Gently: Use a soft brush or gentle air spray to remove dust without damaging the texture.

  • Indoor Use Only: Preserved moss is not suitable for outdoor use, as exposure to weather can damage it.
